We are using the on premises version of the windows service bus. I have installed the service bus on numerous QA servers in our office. All work fine with my publisher and subscribers, that is, all except one.
On one of the servers i get the error: The underlying connection was closed:"Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel" when trying to check if a topic exists or attempt to send a message to the service bus.
I installed the service bus exaclty the same way on all QA servers. I am using a custom certificate rather than the auto generated cert. The only difference between the cert in the QA server that fails and the QA servers that work, is that the cert does not contain the fully qualified domain.
On QA Server 1 and 2 the cert is issued to COMPANY-TROSTAN@COMPANY.LOCAL
On the QA server that has the SSL issue, the cert is issued to COMPANY-TROSTON (the machine name).
Im pretty confident that if i used the fully qualified domain name on QA Server 3 that it would work. However, in production, the customers use there on certs and we have no guarantee that they will used the fully qualified domain name.
Is there a way around this? I have also update the manage users and i use the standard auth rules Secrect key in all my connection strings.
